Media wpadły właśnie na fantastyczny pomysł; począwszy od magazynu Marie Claire, przez szanowany NYMag, aż po opiniotwórczy Huffington Post, zaczęły lansować trend, którego nigdy nie było, a gdyby zaistniał, to dawno temu. Jeśli nie zdążyliście jeszcze zaprzyjaźnić się z modą na Normcore, prawdopodobnie nie będziecie mieli okazji, ponieważ jej miejsce w tej sekundzie zajmuje Health Goth.

To styl oparty przede wszystkim na elementach gotyckich i punkowych, połączonych ze sportowymi, żeby nie powiedzieć dresiarskimi ubraniami otagowanymi wielkimi znakami firmowymi takie marek jak Nike czy Adidas. Nawiązania do nowego trendu możecie znaleźć między innymi w kolekcjach Alexandra Wanga, ubóstwianego przez młode pokolenie fashionistów oraz polskiej marki MISBHV, której twarzą została niedawno Ewa Władymiruk. Przyznaję, jej uroda doskonale pasuje do rodzącej się na naszych oczach subkultury Health Goth. Nie myślcie jednak, że to historyczna dla mody chwila.

Koncept nowego trendu pojawił się dosyć przypadkowo w ubiegłym roku, kiedy Mike Grabarek i Jeremy Scott stworzyli na Facebooku fanpage o nazwie Health Goth. Na stronę szybko zaczęli wrzucać zdjęcia z futurystycznymi inspiracjami i stylizacjami gotyckimi. Warto dodać, że są muzykami i to właśnie na tym gruncie estetyka HG przyjęła się najszybciej. Widać ją wyraźnie między innymi w teledyskach, za które odpowiedzialny jest SUS BOY, który tworzy dla wedidit collective.
Health Goth to równiez nawiązania do sea-punka, który mimo mainstreamowego lansowania przez Grimes, nie przyjął się zbyt dobrze. Powodem może być trudność noszenia tak kolorowego i abstrakcyjnego trendu. Poza tym motywem przewodnim HG jest zdrowy styl życia, który najlepiej wpisuje się w obecne tendencje i kult silnego ciała.
Niezależnie od tego z jakim zamiarem stworzona została strona na Facebooku, pewne jest, że media już zaczęły nakręcać spiralę trendu, którą dodatkowo naciąga kolekcja Alexandra Wanga dla szwedzkiej sieciówki H&M. Projektant postawił na monochromatyczną paletę barw i futurystyczne, sportowe kroje, które dobrze odzwierciedlają styl Heath Goth.

Estetyka skrajnej nowoczesności od dłuższego czasu przewija się w modzie, dlatego czekam niecierpliwie, aż najbardziej poczytne magazyny podchwycą trend, który z założenia nie miał szansy istnieć, a może okazać się przełomowym i inspirującym kierunkiem w modzie na kilka najbliższych miesięcy.

Why Health Goth is a trend that never was and maybe Wang knows little bit more?

The media just came up with a fantastic idea; from Marie Claire magazine, through the respected NYMag, to the influential Huffington Post, they have already began to support the trend that never existed. And even if it had, it must have been quite a long time ago. If you did not manage to befriend Normcore fashion yet, you will probably not have the opportunity, because right in this second it is being replaced by Health Goth trend.

This style is based primarily on gothic and punk elements, combined with sporty chic, not to say Scallywag, clothes that are tagged with big brands names such as Nike or Adidas. References to the new trend can be found in the collections of, among others, Alexander Wang, who is actually idolized by young generation of fashionistas, or Polish brand called MISBHV, who recently hired the fabulous Ewa Władymiruk as their face. I admit, her beauty perfectly fits the Health Goth subculture, whish is emerging right before our eyes. But please, do not think this is a historical moment for fashion.

The concept of a new trend appeared quite randomly somewhere in the last year, when the American duo, Mike Grabarek and Jeremy Scott created a Facebook fanpage named Health Goth. They quickly began to fill the page with pictures of futuristic inspirations and gothic stylistic. What is more, they are both musicians and that is the field on which HG aesthetics developed the fastes. We can see it clearly, among others, in music videos, made for example by SUS BOY, who creates for wedidit collective.

Health Goth is not only a reference to the sea-punk, which, despite being promoted in the mainstream by Grimes, did not take well. The reason may be the difficulty of pulling such a colorful and abstract trend off. And in addition, the theme of HG is a healthy lifestyle, which suits perfectly current trends and the cult of a strong body.

Regardless of the intentions behind the creation of the Facebook page, it is certain that the media have already begun to curl the spiral of the trend, which is further being stretched in Alexander Wang`s collection for Swedish high street label, H&M. The designer opted for a monochromatic color palette and futuristic, athletic styles, which complement the Heath Goth style so well.

The aesthetics of extreme modernity has been recuring in fashion for a long time, so I am waiting impatiently until the most prominent magazines pick up the trend, which potentially did not have a chance to exist, but might become a breakthrough and an inspiring direction for the next few months in fashion anyway.
